Another subject from my recent round of faceups gets the spotlight this time. Rin is also a doll that I pre-ordered ages ago, and I finally figured out how I wanted to customize her.
She’s an autumn-inspired kitsune, wearing a Volks outfit with a mystery second-hand wig, her eyes and fluffy ears are self crafted.
I painted little teeth for her, a detail you don’t see so often these days now that open mouth mod customs are super popular. The design painted on her forehead is meant to evoke the autumn moon, fall leaves, and the north star. I really struggled painting this faceup so it’s satisfying to see it finally finished and falling into place. I used a lot of metallic gold pan pastel on this faceup but it’s not quite captured in the photos, oh well.
