She’s here! After a long and mysterious journey, Asuna (elf version) arrived…
I’ve gotten ahead of myself a bit with the faceup updates, because around the same time I was painting lots of heads I also received a new girl, Asuna Titania version! I have mixed feelings about the anime and in particular the arc where this version of Asuna makes an appearance, but otherwise I like Asuna Yuuki and the dollfie dream version of her is lovely. I’ve wanted the elf version of her for a while, but never was able to track down just the head/ears for a reasonable price. When she showed up on the Volks USA summer event page, I gave in and snagged her fullset.
Like Kirika, she has matching elf ear parts that can be attached over her normal human ears. Fun fact- since both she and Kirika have small ears, they can swap elf ear parts. Other DD heads I checked had human ears that were too big to use the elf ear parts on.
Asuna looks really lovely with this long blue wig I picked up secondhand – it might be from Dollce. I’m thinking I’ll eventually customize her faceup, but the Volks default isn’t bad. As for other future plans – at some point I may have to get her to cosplay as Marcille from Dungeon Meshi!
